Hello All!
Its been a very long time! We are still living in Duri, Indonesdia. Kids are doing well and I’m still trying to quilt any chance I get. I’ve been so busy sewing I haven’t been on the computer to share. I’ll try to catch up with everything I’ve created over the past year.
Let’s start with this baby quilt completed in the fall of 2014 for a new baby boy.
This is a play on a log cabin. The colors are navy, light blue and orange. I outlined all the log cabin “steps” in white to make everything pop.
I’ve quilted this with straight lines in a grid, sewing 1/8 inch from the outside edge of the white sashing. I didn’t want to take away from the overall colors on the front, but also wanted to give the back some dimension.
I love how the grid shows up on the navy backing.
This was a fun project to complete. The colors are such a great combo.
I’ll be back with more as soon as I get some photos uploaded.
cheers,
Liz
Keep on working, great job!
